Euphorbia pulcherrima,



Euphorbia pulcherrima, commonly known as poinsettia, is a species of flowering plant indigenous to Mexico. The name "poinsettia" is after Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first United States Minister to Mexico, who introduced the plant into the US in 1828.It is also called as the Atatürk flower. and in the uk the Christmas rose. in Egypt its quite common in most parks and gardens one plant on Kitchener Island is almost 2 meters high.

Here in Egypt this plant grows in its natural form and grows over 2 meters in Hight


This plant is in the reed beds by the Nile
